Complexity sent to lower bracket
It was a tough night for the Americans as they suffered a 0-2 drubbing against G2. Despite their favored pick of Anubis being the first map played, Complexity found it hard to take advantage of the opportunities offered as they let rounds where they had the upper hand slip away devastatingly. It seems that the team is still adjusting to Counter-Strike 2, but hopefully they will be able to comeback for their next match tomorrow night.
The first half of Anubis, while frustrating for Complexity in that they should have won more rounds, was overall a solid rebuke of G2 and Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov's hyper-aggressive T-side. The AWPer was a thorn in the side of Complexity the entire series. Despite a 6-6 half, G2 were the ones in the driver's seat as their defense was too strong for the Americans to overcome as they held Complexity to only one T-side round en route to a 13-7 map win.
Ancient was not going to get better for Complexity. Once again the Americans started on the CT-side, but this half went even worse as they couldn't hold back the Europeans as they stormed to eight rounds on their T-side to go up 8-4 at the half. With Complexity searching for answers, they tried to make their comeback, but they couldn't get anything going their way as they would lose 13-7, and the series 2-0.
Complexity will face the winner of Cloud9 v. Lynn Vision tomorrow evening.
