Could Falcons be the next home for NA's superstar

Saudi organization targeting Twistzz, French insider alleges

Saudi Arabia's esports buying spree is reportedly extending into the world of players.

According to a bombshell tweet by French insider Sébastien "KRL" Perez, he alleges that Saudi Arabian organization Falcons is targeting Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken alongside Nikola "NiKo" Kovač and Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov for their superstar bank-breaking roster next year. The news follows leaks on stream by KRL that five-time Major-winning coach Danny "zonic" Sørensen was set to join Falcons, something later confirmed by the Dane in an interview with Luís "MIRAA" Mira of Dexerto.

Twistzz has been on FaZe's book since early 2021, having left Liquid in the midst of the Online Era. His tenure with the international roster has seen the Canadian experience a renaissance in his playing career, having won the PGL Major Antwerp 2022 Major under the leadership under Finn "karrigan" Andersen while also becoming the first player in history to win two Intel Grand Slams.

While FaZe have struggled to deliver similar success in recent months, the roster is still a consistent top ten team making an exodus by Twistzz highly unexpected. However, the promise of working under zonic and getting to play with the superstars Falcons are supposedly targeting may be too good an opportunity to pass up. Additionally, with FaZe's dire financial straits being well known at this point, an exit from the organization may prove prudent.

Should Falcon's reported buying spree bear fruit, their roster could look as follows:

  • Canada Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken

  • Nikola "NiKo" Kovač

  • Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov

  • Denmark Danny "zonic" Sørensen (Coach)

NiKo said he won’t leave G2 without Hunter. So either falcons get both or neither of them.
