BLAST.tv Major Showmatch teams announced
Before the grand final begins, it has become a tradition in CS:GO to host a Showmatch with legendary names. In IEM Rio, we saw the old Brazil/Sweden rivalry, with 10 players who had a lot of impact on the game's history. Today, we will be seeing Team France and a Dream Team created by BLAST.
Team France has Cédric "RpK" Guipouy, Audric "JACKZ" Jug, Richard "shox" Papillon, Alexandre "bodyy" Pianaro, and the recently-retired Kenny "kennyS" Schrub. The Dream Team has Oleksandr "s1mple" Kostyliev, Martin "STYKO" Styk, Owen "smooya" Butterfield, Christopher "GeT_RiGhT" Alesund, and Cai "CYPHER" Watson.
s1mple, STYKO and CYPHER have been chosen by fans through polls, while Team France was chosen by BLAST.
The French Team never played together before but JACKZ, shox, bodyy, and kennyS played under the same organization for almost six months, from the end of 2018 until March 2017, RpK played with every member except JACKZ, and all five members have more than a thousand maps played in HLTV.
This will be CS:GO's last Showmatch (for a while, maybe in the future TOs will revisit it like CS1.6) and it's shaping up to be one of the most entertaining ones as BLAST will also let fans decide the fate of the game.
Team France and BLAST Dream Team will lock horns today at 09:00AM, before the grand final between Vitality and GamerLegion.
