Riot Squad, oNe, and New Identity achieve top eight as ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup ends

Day three of the ECS Season 8 Pinnacle Cup has come to a close, with Riot Squad, The Quest, and oNe securing 3-1 victories while Bushido Boyz, New Identity, and Rap Gang made it through with 3-2 records.

Round four started off with Riot and Pujan "FNS" Mehta making quick work of Bushido Boyz. With FNS leading the server with a 1.58 rating, Riot Squad only allowed Bushido Boyz nine rounds before forcing Bushido Boyz down into the 2-2 pool.

The final 2-1 series of the Pinnacle Cup saw The Quest quickly pick a win against Rap Gang. Starting on Nuke, The Quest won their CT-side 12-4 before closing out the map 16-6. Vertigo ended up being equally one-sided as The Quest claimed their CT-side 11-4 before closing out the map 16-8.

Moving onto the round four 2-1 matches, Oceanus managed to pull off a 2-1 win against Advanced opposition RBG while Mythic narrowly claimed a 2-0 win over LiViD. The final series in round four saw New Identity continue their comeback as they claimed a strong 2-0 win over Big Frames.

Round five began with Bushido Boyz going 3-2 after getting a forfeit win over Divine.

The next series had Rap Gang claim a confident 16-10 win over Mythic on Overpass, before pulling off a 19-16 overtime win on Mirage.

Finally to round off the qualifier, New Identity faced off against Oceanus. Starting on Overpass, New Identity battered Oceanus, taking the map 16-4 without much trouble.

Moving onto Train, Oceanus managed to win the half 9-6 before New Identity launched a major comeback on their CT-side, climbing up to 14 rounds. With their back against the wall, Oceanus managed to rally, winning the last five rounds in a row to take Train 16-14 and force the series onto Mirage.

On Mirage, the two squads played a close opening half, with New Identity leading by a single round on their CT-side. After switching sides, the game continued to be close however New Identity looked largely in control by the end of the map as they won the last five rounds in a row to win Mirage 16-14.
