Luminosity release team
Following a report earlier today by Mais Esports, Luminosity have publicly announced the release of their CS:GO team.
The news comes less than three days after Luminosity refilled their roster with the addition of Felipe "skullz" Medeiros on loan from W7M. However, the team's debut with skullz did not go as expected as they were eliminated from the DreamHack Masters Malmö qualifier by Stay Frosty which was reportedly seen as the last straw in Luminosity's less than stellar year.
In their tweet, Luminosity mentioned that in parting with their CS:GO lineup, they have released the entirety of the team from their contracts, including Henrique "HEN1" Teles, who was benched last month. Additionally, they transferred their EPL and ECS licenses to the squad allowing them to continue playing in the respective leagues. While this is good for the now homeless Brazilians, it suggests it may be a while until Luminosity return to CS:GO, if ever.
According to a TwitLonger by coach Rafael "zakk" Fernandes, the team plan on staying together, although at this time it is unknown if João "felps" Vasconcellos and Felipe "skullz" Medeiros will be able to remain with the team on a long-term basis as they remain tied to MIBR and W7M, respectively.

ex-Luminosity currently await the beginning of ECS Season 8 which is set to begin next week on September 16th. However, they may be unable to make use of the spot as ECS licenses are non-transferable contrary to Luminosity's statement. Dust2.us has reached out to ECS for clarification however at the publication no reply has been given.
