Ghost confirm freakazoid
After previously being linked with a move to Ghost for some time, the team has confirmed today that Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir has joined their roster.
freakazoid was originally linked with a move to Ghost on December 17th, according to a report by Jarek "DeKay" Lewis of VPEsports. However, it was unknown when he would officially join the team as at the time, the only event Ghost was the next season of EPL, which is not slated to start until April.
However, following their invite to the iBUYPOWER Masters 2019, a later report by Rush B Media suggested that the team would debut the player at the event. Additionally, Dust2.us was aware that freakazoid had been practicing with the Ghost squad lately in place of Yassine "Subroza" Taoufik, lending further credence to his debut being at the event.
Now that this move has been confirmed, freakazoid is likely to replace Subroza, who although not officially out of the roster, has been consistently pegged as the player on the way out.
As such, Ghost's roster is now as follows:
- Matthew "Wardell" Yu
- Joshua "steel" Nissan
- Kenneth "koosta" Suen
- Jason "neptune" Tran
- Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir
- James "JamezIRL" Macaulay (Coach)
freakazoid is set to make his debut with Ghost tomorrow at 2pm EST as the team is set to take on FaZe during their opening best-of-one match at the iBUYPOWER Masters 2019.
