Report: Liquid and MIBR set to trade TACO, zews for Stewie2K
According to a report from Jacob Wolf of ESPN, Liquid are set to sign Jake "Stewie2K" Yip from MIBR, while in turn selling Epitacio "TACO" de Melo and Wilton "zews" Prado to the Immortals-owned organization.
The report further states that Tarik "tarik" Celik has been benched from MIBR and is actively looking for a new home as the team is looking to return to a fully Brazilian lineup. Per Rush B Media reporter Ryan, tarik will play for the team until a replacement player is found.
This move also sees zews replace Janko "YNk" Paunović as head coach, with the Serbian being set to leave the organization.
Here is the proposed Liquid roster:
- Nick "nitr0" Cannella
- Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski
- Russel "Twistzz" Van Dulken
- Keith "NAF" Markovic
- Jake "Stewie2K" Yip
and the MIBR lineup:
- Gabriel "FalleN" Toledo
- Fernando "fer" Alvarenga
- Marcelo "coldzera" David
- Epitacio "TACO" de Melo
- Wilton "zews" Prado (Coach)
- Tarik "tarik" Celik (Inactive)
It is unknown whether the new MIBR roster will be fielded at BLAST Pro Series Lisbon, but other than that, the first LAN where either of these proposed lineups would be seen would be IEM Katowice, unless either attends iBUYPOWER Masters 2019.
