Swole Patrol flex on Vireo.pro; to WESG USA grand finals
The second semifinal of the WESG USA regional playoffs kicked off, with Swole Patrol — featuring Austin "Cooper-" Abadir and Leonardo "Laski" Arroyo — taking on Vireo.pro and Donovan "zNf" Froid, who had come down with food poisoning shortly before the event.
Swole Patrol began the series with a strong first half on Cache, as Jordan "Zellsis" Montemurro led his team to an 11-4 scoreline. After losing the first two rounds of the second half, Vireo.pro tried to tie up the scoreline with four straight rounds spearheaded by Ricky "floppy" Kemery. They were ultimately unable to reach double-digits before Braxton "swag" Pierce shut down the opposition, giving Swole Patrol the first map 16-8.
Overpass was even more dominant for the hawt squad, with Zellsis and Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir dominating the map in the first half. Down 2-13, Vireo.pro successfully found the pistol round of the second half, but their efforts were quickly undone as Swole Patrol retook control of the map, finding match point at 15-3. Two more rounds were all Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue's team could find before the patrol closed the map 16-6, eliminating Vireo.pro from the finals 2-0.

Swole Patrol move on to the grand finals of the WESG USA regional finals, where they will take on Singularity tomorrow in a best-of-three. Tomorrow will also see the conclusion of the WESG USA female regional finals, with CLG Red taking on Star Spangled Fraggers in the event's grand finals.
