Cloud9 secure win over NRG, to iBUYPOWER Masters semi-finals
With the decider game in Group A kicking off the day's proceedings, it was left to a rematch between NRG and Cloud9 to decide who would face off against the winner of Group B, Team Liquid.
Once again in the iBUYPOWER Masters the teams have decided to show us Mirage for their shoot-out match. With this being a best-of one, there's all to play for in keeping their tournament hopes alive.
The map kicked off with Cloud9 taking the pistol round and anti-eco, but NRG managed to take the forcebuy round afterwards for themselves. The two started trading rounds, but Cloud9 were finally able to push on with their lead.
With Cloud9 up 8-3, NRG were finally able to grind out rounds to keep them in the game, partially in thanks to a 1v2 from Cvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov. The final round of the half saw Will "RUSH" Wierzba sit on seven HP in a 1v1 to defuse the bomb, to secure a 9-6 lead in the half for Cloud9.
The second half appeared to start off in similar fashion, with Cloud9 kicking off by taking the pistol round and the following anti-eco. NRG then managed to repeat their feat by taking the third round, but then unlike the first half managed to roll on and claw their way back into the game. But from there Cloud9 wouldn't let them take any more rounds, securing the final four rounds they required to secure a semi-final spot.

This result sees NRG leaving the iBUYPOWER Masters, with Cloud9 moving on to face Team Liquid in the Semi-Final, where the tournament moves onto a best-of-three format.
