eUnited dazzle Swole Patrol to win Gfinity Winter Series 2018
eUnited have secured yet another best-of-three series win over Ryan "freakazoid" Abadir's Swole Patrol squad, putting the EPL team's overall record against the Patrol up to 11-3 in maps, and extending their winstreak over the team to four series in a row.
eUnited previously took on Swole Patrol in their final upper bracket matchup for Gfinity, where a 2-0 win on Cache and Train granted them a best-of-three advantage coming into this series. It wouldn't be needed however as the exact same two maps were played, with eUnited taking an even more dominant victory over their opponents than in their previous matchup.
Swole Patrol continues to struggle against this eUnited roster, with their only series win coming in the DreamHack Open Tours qualifier. The team later fell to Torqued, who went on to qualify for the event (and most recently fell out in last place).
eUnited also snatched the EPL Season 8 slot from Swole Patrol in Leicester earlier in the month, adding insult to injury as their record over freakazoid and co. continues to build. With yet another series falling by the wayside, Swole Patrol may consider swapping out players to attain the results they have been just shy of over the past months.
The final standings for Gfinity Winter Series 2018 are as follows:
1st. eUnited — $8,000
2nd. Swole Patrol — $5,000
3rd. oNe — $2,000
4th. Armada
