Dignitas replace Voltage and a2z with Infinite and ryx
Just prior to their return in Season 28 of ESEA's MDL and fresh off their demotion from ESL's Pro League, Dignitas have made a major overhaul to their roster with the removal of Logan "Voltage" Long and Armeen "a2z" Toussi. This leaves Michael "Grim" Wince as the sole surviving member of the original SoaR roster that qualified for EPL by taking down Rise Nation back in January.
Voltage's replacement comes in the form of Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki, while simultaneously bringing on Gage "Infinite" Green to fill the recently vacated slot of Daniel "roca" Gustaferri, as previously reported by Dust2.us.
Perhaps most surprisingly, Armeen "a2z" Toussi has been given his marching orders as well, leaving the team hunting for a fifth player with coach Josh "shinobi" Abastado temporarily filling in on the starting lineup, presumably as the in-game leader.
While Infinite has yet to make his debut on the roster, ryx has already been seen participating in online qualifiers for the team in roca's stead. Their most recent result saw them dominated by the newly minted compLexity lineup in the semifinals of ESL One Cologne's NA Open Qualifier, with the Peter "stanislaw" Jarguz-led side advancing to the closed qualifier which is set to begin on May 24th.
With the exception of his appearances for Dignitas in recent qualifiers, ryx has been inactive since being benched just 15 days into his tenure on Rogue, leading to him eventually leaving the team in April. A short 3-month stint on Ghost back in August of 2017 preceded his even shorter time on Rogue's roster this year.
Infinite notably aided Gorilla Gang in their tournament run for our very own Dust2.us Masters #2, and has stood out on Etherian and CLG Academy at various points throughout the past year. By joining Dignitas, Infinite offers himself the opportunity to develop his abilities further, adding to his skillset as Dignitas look to the next EPL Promotion Season of MDL to climb back up the ladder.
Dignitas' roster now consists of:
- Michael "Grim" Wince
- Mitch "mitch" Semago
- Gage "Infinite" Green
- Ronnie "ryx" Bylicki
- Josh "shinobi" Abastado (Coach & stand-in)
- Ryan "Snakes" Amann (Streamer)
Notably, Ryan "Snakes" Amann has joined the team's ESEA roster ahead of the start of the season, presumably with an eye towards the player's upcoming birthday in July. It is not presently known what impact that event may have on the formulation of the Dignitas roster.
