WPL: Season 2 complete; Reck and Firestar keep top spots. Season 3 live with $1,000!
The second season of the Dust2.us Western Pro League came to a close last night, with Ethan "Reck" Serrano topping Division 1 and Blake "Firestar" Houston conquering Division 2. Both players take home the bulk of this months available prize pool, a combined $750 between them.
Season 3 kicks off today, with $1,000 on offer between the two Divisions. The prize distribution for the month of May can be seen below:

Season 2 Recap
Between our last update just a few days ago and now, a few players managed to push themselves up through the ranks in the top ten of Division 1, but it was FASCiN8 who just barely edged out Division 2 leader, Firestar, to claim the fifth place cash prize.
The majority of Season 2 saw Reck keep his sizeable lead over the other players on the ladder, ending the season with a 312 point gap between himself and Alex "vek" Voynov, who finished in second place.

Division 2 saw very little in the way of movement within the top ten in the last few days of the season. While no new faces graced the top positions on the ladder, Cabbagepatch managed to push past ICEfox to claim the rank 7 slot before the season ended.
After the departure of Aceflyin, many likely thought they were in the clear as Season 2 began, but his place as the gatekeeper of Division 2 was quickly filled by Firestar. With 132 matches played and a 2,152 points accrued, he maintained his dominant lead over the rest of his competitors from the beginning of April, until the end. WPL players can rest easy though, as he earned himself a permanent seat in Division 1.
As we did in the prior month, all players that have ascended to FACEIT levels 9-10 will be automatically promoted to Division 1 and will no longer be able to participate in Division 2. This months promotions include:
