CLG trump Kinguin to move on to playoffs

Counter Logic Gaming have beaten the Polish Team Kinguin 2-0 in the Group A decider match.

The maps chosen for this series were Train, Mirage, and Overpass. Train and Mirage are known as good CLG maps, while Overpass and Mirage are good for Kinguin. CLG generally had control of the first half of Train, winning the pistol and garnering 10 rounds from the CT side. Ethan “nahtE” put up big numbers for the CLG side, which led to the Americans to having a strong T side as well. Grzegorz “SZPERO” Dziamałek tried his hardest at a comeback but nahtE co. were too strong, and CLG finished up map their own map pick 16-11.

Mirage started off terrible for the Poles, as they could never get their CT economy rolling, and ended up only getting the pistol round, the 2nd round, and a single other in the first half with Kenneth “koosta” Suen and Ricardo “Rickeh” Mulholland sniping down everyone in their scopes. Kinguin started to get things together in the second half, with Mikołaj “mouz” Karolewski putting in good numbers, but it was too little too late for the Kinguin side.

CLG will now move on to face the Brazilians of Immortals in the semifinals tomorrow.
