It's tougher for NA teams especially, according to messioso

messioso says CS2 pros spend two months traveling

This is based on Complexity's own data from 2024.

Complexity Counter-Strike's General Manager Graham "messioso" Pitt revealed recently that CS2 pros spend around 70 days in planes and airports traveling between all the tournaments, based on what Complexity experienced in 2024.

According to messioso, his players took 267 flights, including 126 connections, and spent 1391 hours flying last year. This number could have been even higher should Complexity have played in all the tournaments they planned. COL's GM added that being a pro isn't easy, especially for North Americans.

These numbers are so high because most of the CS2 tournaments are concentrated in Europe, as the vast majority of the best teams in the world are from the Old Continent. There are only a handful of big events held in NA, South America, and Asia each year.

And it seems that these numbers will only go higher as there are more tournament organizers actively involved in the CS2 scene since Valve shut down the partnership leagues. The event calendar is packed, which could force teams to fly from one tournament to another with barely one day of rest in between in some cases.
