Four teams advance to stacked PGL Astana closed qualifier

The first NA open qualifier for PGL Astana 2025 concluded on March 14th, sending four more teams through to the closed qualifier.

The Mexican/South American core of MarcaRegistrada qualified with wins against Revel and Immigrants Peek, while seoul qualified after defeating HbITuKu and NuTorious. MarcaRegistrada dominated in their win against Revel, but had to comeback in their series against Immigrants Peek after dropping Anubis. seoul narrowly overcame HbITuKu but comfortably defeated NuTorious in a decisive match.

32 teams will eventually make their way to PGL Astana NA closed qualifier, but most of the field is already filled out according to the VRS Americas standings. Some of the top ranked NA teams like Wildcard, BLUEJAYS, NRG, M80, and Nouns will be competing, alongside familiar faces such as Mythic and FlyQuest RED.

But before we get to the closed qualifier though, there are still three more open qualifier brackets that will each send three more teams through. The second one begins today, March 16th, featuring some of the teams from the first open qualifier like Amped and Revel. Full bracket can be viewed here once it's set.
