Three NA teams qualify for Electronic Sports Venezuela $2,000 league

These teams will have a long season to test their skill against Latin American competition.

Guangdong Tigers, Ozempic 5, and Straight2Killing will represent North America in the ESV Latam Series 2025 league.

The $2,000 league was announced back in February, and originally included two spots for American teams. However, Electronic Sports Venezuela altered the qualifier to allow Canadian players and add an additional slot.

The league will begin April 8 with a 12-team double round-robin format, where every team plays each other twice in a best-of-one. At the end of the season, the top four will advance to a single-elimination playoff bracket that will use best-of-three. As noted in our original coverage, this event is more suited for ESEA Advanced and ESEA Main teams, given the time commitment and close proximity to IEM Dallas and the BLAST.tv Austin Major on the schedule.

The full 12-team field is almost set, only awaiting the result of the Mexican qualifier:
