ESL Pro League Season 21 breaks several event viewership records

New highs in peak viewers, average viewers, and Mongolian viewers!

Viewership has excelled at ESL Pro League S21. Typically, Pro League can be seen as an event that is too drawn out, but this edition has brought out intense CS as well as some fiery trash talk.

As reported by Esports Charts, ESL Pro League Season 21's Group Stage hit 550,134 peak viewers, a new record for concurrent viewers at a Pro League group stage. The event hit this mark twice in back-to-back matches, during G2 v. NAVI and Falcons v. FURIA.

Iarfhlaith Dempsey of Esports Charts detailed how those two games hit two out of three huge demographics in Counter-Strike viewership: Brazilian, Russian speakers, and the international English audience.

The average viewer count of 178.4k that Season 21 has hit is also the highest of any EPL event ever. The Mongolian viewer base also set a new record, as nearly 72k people tuned in for The MongolZ v. Team Spirit. The Mongolian side is moving on in the playoffs, so that newly-minted regional record could be broken once again.
