IEM Katowice sets non-Major Counter-Strike viewership records
IEM Katowice 2025 set a couple of viewership records this past weekend, setting a new standard for non-Major events.
According to Esports Charts, IEM Katowice set a new record for peak viewers at a non-Major, with 1.299 million viewers tuning in during the grand final. The event had squeezed past the 1 million mark the day prior, during the semifinal between NAVI and Team Spirit.
Prior to this past weekend's event, the highest peak viewership for any non-Major was from IEM Cologne 2022. Of course, IEM Katowice 2025 still trails several other Majors in peak viewership, including the monstrous 2.748 million viewer mark set during PGL Stockholm 2021.
Excluding ESL Pro League and its expanded format, IEM Katowice also set the non-Major tournament record for total hours watched, with fans spending over 30 million hours watching the Polish tournament.
