Revenge Nation lose lineup amidst outstanding salary claims

The European-majority squad is looking for a new home.

Evan "Evan" Cawthorn has confirmed to Dust2.us that Revenge Nation's former lineup have parted ways following the conclusion of their contracts on January 1st. The departure sees the Russo-Ukrainian lineup part ways with the organization after initially being linked to Revenge Nation in February 2024 before signing proper contracts on July 5th, 2024.

Evan told Dust2.us that the lineup decided to forgo any negotiations with Revenge Nation about a new contract due to the organization allegedly missing multiple payments worth a few thousand dollars to the team. As such, the squad are now looking for a new organization to call home for the 2025 season.

The lineup, now playing as chill guys, finished ESL Challenger League Season 49 with a 9-19 record, avoiding Relegation but otherwise being underwhelming in NA's top domestic league after previously dominating in ESEA Advanced Season 48. Following the conclusion of ECL, the squad quietly swapped Andrey "HorizoN" Charykov for David "MERL" Davidyan on October 9th, who helped the team qualify to the NA Revival Series 4 but otherwise it has been a quiet team for the squad.

chill guys may find a hard time acquiring support in North America as their European-majority squad is ineligible for invites to any NA invites. Whether or not this pushes the squad to replace one of their three Eastern European members to comply with the VRS remains to be seen.

chill guys are now:

  • Nikita "TABEN" Holovachov

  • Canada Elliot "MagiC" Iler

  • Dmitrii "NIGHT666LADE" Botirov

  • United States Evan "Evan" Cawthorn

  • David "MERL" Davidyan

  • Kyrylo Soryan" Khliebchenko (Coach)

ESL Challenger League Season 49 is set to start on January 21st.
