Beaver Buzz Energy CEO: "This accusation of sponsorship by Perseverance Gaming is completely fraudulent"

Perseverance League fraudulently used Beaver Buzz Energy to promote their event.

Earlier today, Dust2.us published breaking news that Alexanne "Keke" Shoter's Perseverance League had essentially collapsed following claims last night by Take Flyte's CEO and co-Founder, Saben "Sabe" Neale, that Perseverance had engaged in fraud and other financial "inconsistencies" in operating the league.

As part of Dust2.us' ongoing investigation into Shoter and the Perseverance League, the publication reached out to the Perseverance League's supposed key sponsor, Canadian energy drink Beaver Buzz Energy (BBE), to understand their relationship with Perseverance and their reaction to the news.

From this, Dust2.us has discovered that there was never any agreement between the two parties, with a comment by the CEO of DD Beverage & Nutrition, the creators of Beaver Buzz Energy, Andrew Drayson emphatically stating:

This accusation of sponsorship on an Oct 26 X post by Perseverance Gaming is completely fraudulent, and is defamation of our 20 year old established Canadian brand, Beaver Buzz Energy.

This startling revelation from Drayson suggests that Shoter has been been using BBE's branding and reputation to fraudulently promote his league, with Drayson telling Dust2.us that his company has a policy of ignoring esports and other sponsorship opportunities due to, "there [being] a lot of scams out there, so we chose to ignore these types of inquiries for this reason. "

Furthermore, Drayson told Dust2.us that DD Beverage & Nutrition and BBE have never been in contact with Shoter beyond a message on their online contact form from a Brad Bergen, supposed CEO of Perseverance, who notably used Shoter's email for the message (redacted for the purposes of this article):

Within the contact form there was also a provided phone number. Dust2.us attempted to call this number with no one answering at the time of publication.

With this revelation, the chances of the Perseverance League not being an outright scam by Shoter (or Bergen?) appears increasingly unlikely, with the individual seeming disappearing, leaving teams, players, casters, and support staff scrambling to recover money. Dust2.us will continue to attempt to track down Shoter and will keep you updated should we learn more.
