Chinese fans line up daily outside player hotel to see stars
China's first Major, the Perfect World Shanghai Major, has already seen a high level of excitement from Chinese fans eager to catch a glimpse and interact with some of CS2's biggest stars. Many stories have already been shared about fans going out of their way to see the stars around Shanghai at the mall, the airport, and of course, the player hotel. According to Dust2 Brasil, this has extended to a committed group of ten to fifteen superfans coming every day to the hotel to get pictures and autographs with teams at the RMR.
It is worth noting that the hotel itself is entirely booked by Perfect World for the Major/RMRs, meaning that the only people allowed on the property are Perfect World staff, players, team staff, journalists, and other accredited groups. As such, Chinese fans have had to wait outside of the gates of the property hoping players make the 20 meter trot to come see them.
Chinese fans will finally be able to get a closer look at the players and cheer them on when the Major proper kicks off on Major 30th following the conclusion of the EU RMR B on November 24th.
