Limitless part ways with S48 roster
Limitless have today announced their decision to part ways with their CS2 lineup that competed in ESL Challenger League Season 48 under the Los Angeles-based organization for a period of four months. Limitless' most recent foray into ECL saw the team struggle to find success in the increasingly challenging division, with the team narrowly holding onto their spot in the division with a 7-21 record.
Limitless' troubles in ECL were many, with the team needing to use Jerric "wiz" Jiang and Andrew "Tender" Cote as stand-ins to hold onto the ECL spot while also dealing with an unstable roster that saw Dylan "DJF" Ferreira and Kyle "Wolffe" Greenfield leave mid-season, although the former did return after a week.
Outside of ECL the team found mixed fortunes, notably finishing 3rd-4th at Fragicago 2024 but failing to notch any notable finishes in any online leagues or cups.
Limitless co-owner, Carl "BigSyn" Mersman, told Dust2.us that the decision to part ways with the team was a mutual decision after the squad asked for increased financial support in 2025.
Limitless consisted of:
-
Sebastian "Seb" Dietrich
-
McKinley "Cyrix" Hollison
-
Justin "Sandman" Saulle
-
Dylan "DJF" Ferreira
-
Brennan "Aureo" O’Connell (Coach)
It is currently unknown if the squad intend on sticking together for ESL Challenger League Season 49 or the Perseverance League, with the team not responding to a request for comment by publication.
