Homyno take the prize at Lan ETS 2025
Lan ETS 2025 just wrapped at École de Technologie Supérieure, where Homyno repeated their success from 2024.
Homyno breezed through the whole tournament until facing Kooking in the grand final, where they would drop their first map of the event. Homyno didn't let that stop them, though, they took the series in three maps. Homyno again defeated Kooking in the grand final to secure their second straight Lan ETS title.
Homyno featured mostly the same roster from Lan ETS 2024, featuring Cedric "Melio" Perrault, David "J0LZ" Jolin, Brandon "YuZ" Cyr, and Gabriel "Gabie" Cordeiro once again. Antoine "Sup3rant" Dubois is the only player that didn't feature at the previous event.
The tournament had 13 teams in total, and was separated into a group of six and a group of seven. Homyno cruised through their group, winning six matches from six.
Four teams qualified directly into the upper bracket in playoffs, while four more started playoffs in the lower bracket. Homyno defeated Symbiose and Kooking twice.
In the final, Homyno handled Kooking 2-0 winning on both Mirage and Nuke. Homyno took an 8-4 lead on Mirage into the second half, where Kooking would then surge, lowering the deficit to 9-8 in favor of Homyno. Homyno stabilized and took the map 13-10.
Homyno started on the favored CT side of Nuke, and had a 7-5 lead after the first half. Kooking won the pistol and anti-eco to level the game at 7-7, but the rest of the game was all Homyno. They only dropped one more round and won the map, match, and tournament with their 13-8 victory on Nuke.
