G2 superstar swarmed by fans after landing in Shanghai

Even though the Perfect World Shanghai Major proper has yet to start, players have already been treated like celebrities upon their arrival to China, with many posts on social media telling stories of eager fans waiting at the player hotel and around the city for a chance to catch Counter-Strike 2's biggest player at the first Chinese Major.

For one of CS2's biggest names, the superstar treatment went even further as Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov shared on Telegram. In a short clip on the Russian social media platform, m0NESY shows the star treatment he has already received as he was surrounded at the airport by eager Chinese fans wanting autographs and pictures with one of the best players in the world.

The level of interest from the Chinese fans has been great to see as it promises an exciting Major especially as every single stage of Asia's first Major will be in front of a live crowd. m0NESY and G2 will look to make that Major when they head into the Perfect World Shanghai Major EU RMR B on November 21st.
