What to expect from Liquid v. G2
The BLAST Premier World Final is the first of two massive tournaments Team Liquid must strive to find success at to close out 2024, and their journey in Singapore begins with a daunting opening match against G2. This will be Liquid's second time playing G2 since the number two-ranked team acquired North American product Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa.
Liquid state of mind
Liquid is coming into the BLAST World Final a bit cold, after back-to-back event eliminations at the hands of FaZe and a very early exit from IEM Rio. The team doesn't have to worry about impending travel though, as they have elected to say in Asia between this event and the upcoming Americas RMR. All that Liquid have to focus on is getting ready for heightened competition at two of the biggest events of the year.

G2 is top two for a reason
G2 is one of the few teams that had a worse time in Rio than Liquid, after the team lost 13-10 to Heroic and then 2-0 to Eternal Fire. But before Rio, the team stood tall at the BLAST Premier Fall Final, running through an elite gauntlet of FaZe, Spirit, Vitality, and finally NAVI on the way to malbsMd's first major trophy lift.
