Liquid prepare for Singapore bootcamp
It's an unusual spot to get some practice in, but Liquid is fully prepared to start boot camping in Singapore following the BLAST Premier World Finals later this month.
Due to travel concerns, the organization has decided to stay in Asia ahead of the upcoming 2024 Perfect World Shanghai Major Americas RMR. The BLAST Premier World Final ends on November 3rd, with the Major qualifier starting on November 12th.
Head coach Torbjørn "mithR" Nyborg explained to Dust2.us that this was simply a matter of preventing jetlag ahead of the important qualifier, "We decided that traveling back to the EU for three potential practice days, while jetlagged, would damage us more than staying and adjusting to the time difference fully and getting five full practice days."
The travel day for the upcoming Americas RMR is November 9th, which creates a very short window of time for players to return to Europe, adjust to the time zone, incorporate quality practice, and then once again make the journey back east.
Mithra was also able to confirm with Dust2.us that since putting out the call to action post on X, the squad has been able to line up suitable opposition with teams that are also vying to reach the Major.
