Chet eyes return to Counter-Strike after VALORANT suspension
Chet "Chet" Singh is now exploring his options in CS2 after receiving a suspension from Riot Games that prevents him from coaching VALORANT until midway through next year's season.
On Oct. 15, Riot issued their ruling that Chet had violated the global code of conduct for the unauthorized broadcast of an official broadcast with comms. Riot said this broadcast constituted a "breach of proprietary information," as he did not secure permission from Riot, NRG, or the the opposing team before broadcasting.
Chet's suspension is effective through March 3, 2025, which coincides with the end of Masters Bangkok, one of the major international tournaments in the VALORANT Champions Tour ecosystem.
Chet coached for several North American CS:GO rosters and organizations from 2016 until 2020, finding the most success and hardware during his tenures with Evil Geniuses and NRG. After a tremendous year with OpTic in VALORANT in 2022, Chet returned to NRG to coach the team for two seasons in the Americas League.
Earlier this year, prior to his release by NRG, HLTV reported that Chet was considering a return to Counter-Strike.
