Perfect World Major Shanghai Americas RMR Closed Qualifier opening matchups revealed

Two days ago Perfect World revealed the opening matchups for the Perfect World Major Americas RMR NA Closed Qualifier, which is set to see sixteen teams based in North America battle for one of four spots in the main Americas RMR.

The Closed Qualifier is set to begin on August 26th with a Swiss bracket featuring a list of teams that runs the ranking gamut from Party Astronauts who are currently ranked 53rd on HLTV all the way down to Limitless who are currently ranked 224th. The qualifier will also feature a number of foreign teams and players, with Legacy and E-Xolos LAZER representing Brazil while Akimbo's Mongolian core has received special permission from Valve to compete in North America.

Currently Liquid, Complexity, and M80 are currently the only NA teams in the Americas RMR, so the pressure will be on the NA teams in the Closed Qualifier to bolster that list.

Some interesting matchups in the first round include Legacy's first NA match in over a month versus LAG, Nouns' match against FLUFFY AIMERS whom recently added former teammate Edgar "MarKE" Maldonado, and Elevate's series against Limitless, with the latter team still being inexperienced with their full roster.
