NRG, Party Astronauts hunt for Rio NA CQ spot

In the vast field of just 56 teams, NRG and Party Astronauts have emerged as the top two team in the hunt for one of the available Closed Qualifier spots for IEM Rio 2024.

The two sides faced little opposition last night as they breezed through the field to make it to tonight's quarterfinals, despite some tech delays pushing back the start of the competition after a late game update from Valve.

Elsewhere, LAG and E-Xolos LAZER have the upset potential to claim one of the spots as the best-of-one, single-elimination tournament structure always leaves room for surprises.

Some notable teams that were eliminated last night include FLUFFY AIMERS who lost to the East Asian squad Akimbo and Bobby "stamina" Eitrem's undefined who had to withdraw from the event due to a scheduling conflict due to their CCT match playoff match against Limitless.
