Complexity, Liquid opponents revealed for BLAST Fall Groups

BLASt announced both the groups and opening matches for the upcoming BLAST Premier Fall Groups 2024.

Complexity, Liquid, and G2 will all feature North American players in the upcoming competition with fans especially tuned into Liquid to see how their new roster looks in their debut.

The sixteen team competition begins July 29th at the BLAST Studios in Copenhagen, Denmark. Six BLAST Premier Fall Final 2024 spots are up for grabs, while the remaining teams will be sent to the BLAST Premier Fall Showdown held later that August.

NRG had qualified for the event, but due to potential conflict with the 2024 Perfect World Shanghai Major NA Closed Qualifier, M80 will take their place.

Teams have been split into four groups with Complexity, Liquid, and G2 all in separate divisions.

Complexity will be in Group A alongside Spirit, HEROIC, and OG. G2 will be in Group C to face FaZe, NIP, and Cloud9. Liquid will debut their new squad beside BIG, Virtus.pro, and Natus Vincere.

Liquid will have to bring their A-game with new arrivals Justin "jks" Savage and Roland "ultimate" Tomkowiak, the latter of which is relatively unknown to the international audience. The questionable addition has drawn some parallels to the signing of Aleks "Rainwaker" Petrov who was unable to rapidly acclimate to the demands of Tier 1 Counter-Strike.

Complexity look poised to continue their momentum from their win in Jönköping towards the end of the Spring season and whatever they can accomplish here at the Esports World Cup.

As for G2, this will be the second LAN for Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa as part of the European organization. The 21-year-old has already debuted with G2 at the Esports World Cup where he came away with a win over The MongolZ.
