NRG stay flawless, Wildcard tripped up in debut | ECL S48 Roundup Day 2
NRG are good now, Wildcard stumble in their debut, and Mythic are still searching for their first win. The first two days of ESL Challenger League Season 48 action has gotten off to a hot start with only M80, Revenge Nation, and Legacy set to play their first games. M80 won't be stateside for a bit considering they're actively playing in the Esports World Cup, but we should be seeing everyone get their first matches in soon.
As for some other start up teams, E-Xolos LAZER got their first win of the season while LAG are looking hot at 3-1 so far after splitting last night's series with Wildcard. It's an important win as Wildcard's Swedish duo are still stuck in Europe and will likely be dominant once they get to the US.
NRG 2-0 FLUFFY AIMERS
NRG have just continued to dominate in ECL so far this season as Nick "nitr0" Cannella's triumphant return to Counter-Strike has borne stupendous profits for his new squad. The IGL topped the boards in the opening match against the Aimers last night on Anubis as his 26 kills and 1.58 HLTV Rating helped his team suppress a comeback on Anubis as they took the first map 13-11. Next it was Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte to step it up as he pulled out a ridiculous 27 kills and 2.94 HLTV Rating in a 13-1 demolition on Dust2.

Nouns 1-1 E-Xolos LAZER
Nouns were officially unveiled as the United States representative for the upcoming IESF World Championships, but last night they struggled to overcome new ECL arrivals E-Xolos LAZER. The Brazilian squad have come to North America to compete amongst the best. Nouns started off the series with a comfortable 13-8 win on Ancient thanks to their strong T-side, but struggled when they moved to Mirage. E-Xolos LAZER came away with a flawless T-side to pull out a 5-7 comeback to get their first win of the season.

Mythic 0-2 Elevate
Mythic are struggling so far in ECL this season as they have failed to find a win after their first two nights of the competition. Opening up Mirage, it looked like Mythic would secure their first win after a 8-4 T-side. Elevate pulled it back and somehow even pulled out an even more impressive 9-1 T-side to take the first map 13-9.
Elevate would capitalize on Mythic's misfortune as they held the stream team to just four T-side rounds on Ancient and eventually pulled out a 13-6 win to take the 2-0 on the night.

Wildcard 1-1 LAG
Wildcard debuted with their new, international roster last night as they came away with just one win under tough circumstances. Love "phzy" Smidebrant and Tim "susp" Ångström are both playing from Europe at this point which was reflected in the team's performances last night against LAG. The squad struggled on Ancient as they only managed six rounds in their opening match, but bounced back on Anubis where the team used a strong CT-side to power through to a 13-6 map victory.

It was a wild night of action overall as we saw our first flawless victory with Take Flyte taking down Perseverance 13-0 on Anubis and then taking a 13-5 victory on Dust2. Limitless are also still searching for their first win after Party Astronauts secured a 13-3 win on Mirage and a 13-1 victory on Inferno. NRG remain comfortably at the top of the standings while Mythic and Limitless need to change their course quickly or else they will face auto-relegation.
