Media: Chet aims for return to Counter-Strike
According to HLTV's sources, Chet "Chet" Singh is looking to return to Counter-Strike after four years in the world of VALORANT.
While currently under NRG's VALORANT banner, HLTV reports that Chet is in talks with multiple organizations both in Europe and stateside. With OpTic, Chet won VCT Masters Reykjavik 2022, one of the most prestigious tournaments in Riot's circuit.
Chet began his Counter-Strike coaching career on CLG and later OpTic, but it was not until NRG that he won his first big event. With the core of Tsvetelin "CeRq" Dimitrov, Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte, and Ethan "Ethan" Arnold, Chet would win IEM Shanghai 2018 and cs_summit 3 under the NRG flag, along with a 3-4th place finish at the StarLadder Major Berlin 2019.
Chet would continue with that core as they were picked up by Evil Geniuses, winning ESL One New York 2019 and StarSeries i-League Season 8 with the team. It was during Chet's time with the squad that Evil Geniuses reached #1 on HLTV's ranking, the most recent North American team to do so.
Chet's most recent Counter-Strike excursion was with the Australians of 100 Thieves, after which he left to continue his career in VALORANT. While his future home is still up in the air, Americans will be glad to see a historic figure like Chet back in the scene, in an NA team or otherwise.
