G2 bench rifler as they negotiate for Guatemalan superstar
Nemanja "nexa" Isaković has officially been removed from the starting lineup this morning as G2 closes in on signing M80's star rifler Mario "malbsMd" Samayoa. The quest for the Guatemalan has continued, with the European organization expected to pay nearly half a million for the player.
The Serbian player played an important support role in helping alleviate and unlock Nikola "NiKo" Kovač, Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač, and Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov's fragging potential, however nexa's own in-game performance has been the subject of criticism by the community as G2 have struggled to consistently win trophies in the past seven months.
Additionally, almost immediately after his signing, nexa was scrutinized by fans as he replaced the outgoing Justin "jks" Savage. The riflers were constantly compared over the months, with many now using the official departure of the player to justify the Australian's unjust removal.
The departure comes as G2 continues to negotiate for the arrival of malbsMd, who would be a surprising addition for the organization that leaned towards acquiring European-based players. G2's first player from the Americas region came in the former of stand-in Jake "Stewie2k" Yip who actually helped the squad secure the IEM Dallas 2024 title earlier this month.
M80 are already in the process of finding a replacement for their outgoing star as they come upon the summer break and potentially hectic transfer season.
G2 currently has the following roster:
-
Nikola "NiKo" Kovač
-
Nemanja "huNter-" Kovač
-
Rasmus "HooXi" Nielsen
-
Ilya "m0NESY" Osipov
-
Wiktor "TaZ" Wojtas (Coach)
-
Nemanja "nexa" Isaković (Inactive)
