Legacy take CCT Season 2 North America Series #1
The first series of CCT Season 2 North America ended with a sour taste in North American teams' mouthes, as the Brazilians from Legacy claimed the $11,000 and the 150 CCT Points in the grand final against Nouns who had only dropped one map up to the final series.
LAG and OMiT ended the group stage with flawless records but LAG couldn't get out of the first rounds of playoffs after a loss to Mythic, while OMiT managed to take Take Flyte down before falling to Legacy.
Continuing on the group stage, six other teams advanced to playoffs, with E-Xolos LAZER, FLUFFY AIMERS, Snakes Den, Akimbo, Final Form, and Limitless following LAG and OMiT, while teams such as Strife, TSM Shimmer, and Zomblers.
Eight other teams joined the event going into the playoffs, with Take Flyte and Carpe Diem being the only ones unable to advance in the first round. Elevate, BOSS, Wildcard, Mythic, Legacy, and Nouns would advance with the final two teams facing one another in the grand final.
The event's final match started on Nouns' Mirage, but Leagcy took the reins of the match as they swiftly took the lead and never let go of it. After an 8-4 CT-side half, Legacy and Nouns went back and forth but the Brazilians won map one 13-9. Legacy continued the good showing with a solid 7-5 Inferno T-side, which was complemented by an even better 6-1 CT-side to complete the 13-6 win and conquer the event.
