EliGE is back to his winning ways

Complexity begin YaLLa flawlessly

IEM Dallas was a fluke, surely.

Well, it's back to business for the American boys as they rebound following a difficult week in Texas. The squad were eliminated in last place at the hometown event after suffering a defeat against their regional rival Liquid and then had to face the world's best team in MOUZ. Thankfully, now in Abu Dhabi and against some lesser competition, Complexity is here to build their confidence.

First up against the Americans was Eternal Fire, one of the better teams in the last few months. The 2024 PGL Copenhagen Major quarterfinalists decided to allow Anubis to go through which would be to their detriment. Despite Eternal Fire winning the opening duels, Complexity got into their groove once the economy was sorted finding eight rounds on their CT-side which virtually guaranteed the win.

Eternal Fire, to everyone's surprise, had an equally effective defense as they stopped Complexity in their tracks and forced the match into overtime. Complexity, however, were the better side with unlimited gun rounds and came away with a close 16-13 win.

While BIG and Complexity were delayed several times to begin the game due to some technical issues, it appeared that BIG never really logged back on. Complexity's Jonathan "EliGE" Jablonowski was the main difference maker this morning as he started off on a 10-0 run as his side prevented the German attack. The Americans held BIG at bay in the first half with an 8-4 scoreline before finishing the job with a 13-5 win to go flawless on the first day.
