NRG, Wildcard headline OQ winners for BLAST Showdown NA qualifier

As we all recover from IEM Dallas 2024, the rest of North America has been quite busy. The North American ACE Masters Open Qualifiers finished over the last week as all eyes were on Jake "Stewie2k" Yip's magical trophy run with NRG leading the way.

Joining Legacy, M80, Nouns, and Party Astronauts, who all earned invites to the main qualifier, will be Wildcard, NRG, Elevate, and FLUFFY AIMERS.

NRG had one of the easier routes in advancing as they breeze through Preseverance 13-2, G3 13-3, but then had a bit of a scare against Elevate, however they ultimately went through 2-1.

At the top half of the first open qualifier, Wildcard also seemed to just run through their opponents as they dispatched NuTorious 13-4, 13-1 over Karma, and then comfortably crushed FLUFFY AIMERS 2-0 with their opponents only claiming a total of eight rounds.

The second qualifier was a lot more challenging across the board as Elevate struggled to get over the line. They only beat OutGoing 13-9, needed overtime to move by OMiT, and just eeked by LAG in a tight affair to secure their qualification.

Finally, FLUFFY AIMERS were able to make it through as the final team as they eliminated VALORANT 13-4, squeeked by the Brazilians from E-Xolos Lazer 13-10, and then closed it out with a 2-0 against NuTorious so they could start their hopeful journey of making it to the Showdown.

The ACE North American Masters Fall 2024 is set to begin tomorrow with the winner earning a place in the BLAST Fall Showdown in Europe.
