Thunderpick to host women's wildcard event for World Championship NA qualifier

The women's Counter-Strike scene continues evolving, this time with a little help from Thunderpick who are hosting a Wildcard event with a $5,000 prize pool and one spot in the Thunderpick World Championship 2024 NA Series #2.

The Top 4 from ESL Impact Season 5 North America have been invited, despite Limitless Angels only having two players on their roster, officially. This means FlyQuest RED, Shimmer, Karma, and the Angels will be fighting in a single-elimination BO3 bracket for a spot in the second qualifier for Thunderpick's main event.

Adding to that, Thunderpick will also be giving $2,500 to the winner of the women's Wildcard, while the second-place team will be awarded $1,500, and the 3rd-4th squads $500 each. This prize pool is five times bigger than the usual $1,000 from the ESL Impact Cash Cups.

The event is set to start on Sunday at 12:00PM while the second Thunderpick WC qualifier is scheduled to start the following week.
