Party Astronauts player claims second best rating in Melbourne
ESL Challenger Melbourne might not have gone exactly how Party Astronauts hoped, but there were a lot of positives to take away from the experience. While the travel issues might have impacted some of the players' performances, it didn't seem to hurt Danny "cxzi" Strzelczyk as he was one of the best performers at the Australian event.
Party Astronauts played five maps, three against eventual runner's up Aurora and two against the Australians in sunday school. Over the course of those five maps, cxzi put up some fantastic numbers.
His 1.30 HLTV Rating was only behind Felipe "insani" Yuji's ridiculous 1.51 HLTV Rating across eight maps, but above players like Aurora's Denis "deko" Zhukov, Apek's Joakim "jkaem" Myrbostad, and MIBR's Breno "brnz4n" Poletto.
While cxzi's 1.30 HLTV Rating is impressive on it's own, it was his CT-side where the player truly excelled. He leads all players with a 1.71 HLTV Rating while playing defense. Teammate Connor "chop" Sullivan was also fourth with a 1.41 HLTV Rating.
Other top players like insani and Aleksandar "CacaNito" Kjulukoski had CT-side ratings of 1.47 and 1.10, respectively.
Party Astronauts will certainly take some of the international experienced gained from this Melbourne event with them as they also prepare for the upcoming ESL Challenger Jönköping which begins on June 14th.
