Ghost Academy shock GX; to face SoaR
The underdogs of Ghost Academy got off to a strong start on their Terrorist side of Mirage, thanks to three headshots from Andrew "ShoT_UP" Orlowski. After two more rounds for Ghost Academy, a team ace from GX put the stop to their winning ways briefly. Staring down the barrel of an 8-2 deficit, GX pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and closed out the final five rounds of the half.
Bryan "MAKKA" Drouillard and Jarod "Douglas" Onorato helped their squad pick up the second pistol as well, and the next three rounds in addition. GX again pulled themselves together and strung three convincing rounds together. The teams then traded three round streaks, bringing the score to 15-13.
In their first opportunity to close out the map, Ghost Academy made the most of it. In-game leader Douglas hid within a a smoke under balcony, then sprung his trap on the unsuspecting players of GX, securing a double kill and the map for his team.

The result sees GX eliminated from the tournament in last place. They will join Rise Nation in searching for answers and form before ESL Pro League Relegation begins.
Ghost Academy will face SoaR tomorrow in the Group B decider match, in rematch of their Group B opener. That match is scheduled for 11:30 AM EST tomorrow.
