Complexity eliminated from BLAST
Complexity might have qualified for the Major, but they struggled in the next match they played. The Americans started the series with an exhausting T-side on Inferno, but struggled on their own pick of Anubis before being swept aside on Ancient. OG, who have not looked good recently, certainly were on target today as they crushed Complexity and set up their own match against HEROIC later this weekend.
Inferno was a game decided by the T-side, with Complexity going down early as OG rebounded after a lost pistol to quickly take the lead. Despite Complexity tying up the game at 4-4 all, OG claimed the last few rounds of the half to win it 8-4. Complexity found their rhythm once they went to the T-side as they went on a 7-1 streak to take an 11-9 lead. Despite Complexity having all the momentum, OG found a way to bring it to Overtime, just to lose 16-14.
Anubis was an absolute disaster for Complexity, which was unusual for the Americans who are normally very strong on it. OG stormed out to a 6-0 lead before Complexity were able to claw three rounds back. Beyond that, OG would end the half 9-3 and then be the first to twelve rounds after converting the pistol round on their CT-side and eventually win 13-5 to bring it to Ancient.
Ancient started like it would be another brutal loss for Complexity as the Europeans took an early 5-2 lead, but it would not be held for long as Complexity came roaring back to win the half 7-5. The second half was starting to look like it would come to a similar conclusion like the first half, but it was not to be as OG came roared back to eliminate Complexity from the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown.
Complexity, now with no official matches until the Major, will be bootcamping in Europe until it's time for them to travel to Copenhagen.
