CS/DO reaches 13 teams as early bird pricing ends soon
In what has now become somewhat of an infamous story, late last month, Fragadelphia changed FRAG/MENT VALORANT tournament into a Counter-Strike tournament following zero signups from VALORANT teams after two weeks.
Now, under two weeks from when the Counter-Strike tournament replacement was announced, thirteen teams have registered and paid the entrance fees. A scaling prizepool means that the current prize sits at $4,000, but with just four more entrants, it would raise to $6,000.
If over 31 teams sign up, the prize pool reaches its maximum of $10,000. The event will be held at the TAP Esports Center in Philadelphia, PA beginning on March 15th and end on the 17th, right as the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 begins.
Some teams that have already registered include three ESL Impact CS2 squads; FlyQuest RED, Shimmer, and Karma, the latter two who are currently raising funds to help with costs for their trip out east.
