Fragadelphia changes VALORANT event to CS2 after 0 signups
Fragadelphia have announced that their proposed FRAG/MENT Valorant LAN event has now been changed to a CS2 event. In previous posts, the organizer hinted that it would be impossible to host the event as no teams had even signed up.
The change comes after a raucous outpouring of support for a Counter-Strike event when the organizer expressed disappointment in the lack of signups for their initial event.
"Unfortunately if we don't get enough teams to run a small one we will need to cancel it," the organizer had posted on X earlier this week. "Otherwise we need to run a CS2 event and we know you don't want that, right?"
The organizer is now hopefully hosting a 32-team event with a scaling prizepool up to $10,000. The event will be held at the TAP Esports Center in Philadelphia, PA beginning on March 15th and end on the 17th, right as the PGL Major Copenhagen 2024 begins.
This will be Fragadelphia's third event in short order following Fragicago in December and the Fragadelphia x GXL event held in Cherry Hill, NJ earlier this month.
You can sign up for the event here.
