BOSS granted emergency substitution for Americas RMR
The North American community continues to mourn this weekend following the untimely passing of David "cynic" Polster, a recent addition to BOSS who looked primed to continue his glowing career on the orgless roster. One of the key events in BOSS' future is the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR, where the squad looked to make a splash and hopefully qualify to the first CS2 Major.
His teammates, while still mourning cynic, have decided to attend the Americas RMR, and were granted an emergency substitute by PGL and Valve late last night. With this move, BOSS are set to field Josh "PwnAlone" Pigue for the RMR and have also added the 33-year-old AWPer on a permanent basis.
Dust2.us understands that the road to adding PwnAlone to BOSS' roster for the RMR was initially bumpy, with PGL denying the team a sub before later acquiescing to the request under the extraordinary circumstances. With this news, the former Party Astronauts AWPer will be heading to Monterrey with the squad in early March while also helping the team find themselves again after losing an irreplaceable voice on the team.
BOSS' first event with PwnAlone will be the Ace North American Masters Spring 2024, with the online event starting on February 1st.
