Liquid drop to G2; relegated to Spring Showdown

Another 2-0 loss.

Liquid have shown good signs early on with the new roster, but the team hasn't been able to find map wins despite the efforts. Once again, today against G2, Liquid lost 2-0 and lost the chance to secure tickets to the BLAST Premier Spring Final.

Although the team was unable to get the direct flight to London, Liquid still have a chance during the BLAST Premier Spring Showdown, happening from March 6th to March 10th.

The first map was picked by Liquid and it was Overpass. G2 opened the map with a 4-0 lead before Liquid found three straight, which would end up being the only three rounds the American squad would find on the T-side. Down 9-3 at the half, Liquid mounted a small comeback, shrinking the deficit to 10-9 but G2 would close the map 13-10.

Anubis, which was picked by G2, saw an uptick in Liquid's T-side, with a 7-5 lead at the half, but G2 would come back with a flawless T-side, which saw Liquid lose the map 13-7, and the series 2-0.

With this loss, Liquid drop to the Spring Showdown, where they will meet fellow Americans Complexity. In a 16-team event, only the top two will advance to the Spring Final.
