oBo benches himself from Complexity; set to return home
Early this afternoon Complexity CEO Jason Lake hosted a press conference on his Twitch channel to address the situation surrounding the CS:GO roster after Jamie "keita" Hall played in place of Owen "oBo" Schlatter in today's DreamHack Open Fall Closed Qualifier.
oBo is the second member of the #5 ranked CS:GO squad in the world to depart the team within the last two weeks. The toll of Complexity being stuck in Europe long term has been apparent, first claiming Matt "Warden" Dickens, the team's long time coach and manager, and now Complexity's powerful young gun.
The 17-year-old has spent much of 2020 with an ocean separating him from his family in Omaha, Nebraska. It's one thing to move to Dallas and still have access to your family reasonably often, but being half a world away with pandemic-induced travel limitations in place is another thing entirely. Complexity has acknowledged the strain that this year has placed on the young professional on numerous occasions in various pieces of YouTube content, but today's sudden turn of events were an apparent deviation from the organization's original plan of oBo staying with the team through the playoff stages of ESL Pro League.
Jason Lake affirmed Complexity's intent to find oBo a landing spot somewhere in North America where he can be closer to his family, with Damian "daps" Steele chiming in on Twitter and noting that he could be the answer for Gen.G as their permanent fifth.

Complexity are out of the DreamHack Open Fall Closed Qualifier after losing to sAw and SJ. They have until next Tuesday to prepare their roster, whatever it may look like, for their ESL Pro League match against ENCE.
