Can FlyQuest RED go back to the LAN Finals?

ESL announce requalified teams for ESL Impact League Season 5

Karma made the list.

With the start of ESL Impact Season 5 right around the corner, the tournament organizer has announced which teams will be able to rest during the qualifiers for their respective regional divisions.

Invites are based on performance, with the top 4 from NA and SA, and the top 8 from Europe being directly invited should the roster's core be maintained from Season 4.

With this, FlyQuest RED, Shimmer, and Tsunami Sirens are confirmed to be skipping the qualifiers. Benefiting from Evil Geniuses' departure from Counter-Strike is Karma, who earned an invite after EG Gold disbanded, as they were the next-best team from last season.

A similar situation has happened in Europe, but no invite will be sent to the team in the same situation as Karma. This is because G2 Oya has also dissolved, but two teams are tied for the 7-8th spot. In South America, everything is going as intended, with FURIA, Fluxo Demons, Divina (former ex-Divina, you read that right), and Atrix (former mocreias) keeping their spots.

While the regional group stages start on March 6th, the first qualifier begins on February 12th, and the second on February 16th. There are a lot of known names running for the last four spots in North America, such as Nouns and Wanted Goons Bandits, who barely missed a spot in the last season.

The list of teams qualified for ESL Impact Season 5 North America, which starts on March 6th, at the moment is:

FlyQuest RED
United States Shimmer
United States Tsunami Sirens
United States Karma

Open Qualifier #1 (Feb 12th-14th)
