Take Flyte return to full strength with BeaKie, shutout
Take Flyte have announced the additions of Brody "BeaKie" Kelly, Cory "shutout" Frymark, and Mark "CooperTrooper" Cooper to their ranks, bringing the team back up to full strength after parting ways with three on January 15th.
The changes to the lineup came as Take Flyte looks to strengthen their position in the NA scene after a period of stagnation and modest results. The team recently failed to make deep runs in the ESL Challenger League Season 46 playoffs and the PGL Major Copenhagen Americas RMR qualifiers.
The addition of BeaKie will likely prove to be a key piece in this course correction as the Canadian is a capable fragger at the ECL level. Under Reason, BeaKie maintained a 1.12 HLTV Rating over 55 maps despite the squad's inability to find success in the second half of 2023. As for shutout, his move to Take Flyte marks the end of a short-lived retirement that started on November 18th and led to the dissolution of Eros White last season. While this "NA retirement" likely did not harm his form, some questions will likely be raised as he struggled individually last year, posting a 0.87 rating over 77 maps.
The final piece of the puzzle, CooperTrooper, joins Take Flyte after a brief interlude following the demise of Eros White. The former teammate of shutout has also had stints in the past as the head coach of Villainous, BHOP, and Touch Point.
With these additions, Take Flyte are now:
-
John "mds" Marin
-
Gabriel "Gabe" Shah
-
Collin "CoJoMo" Moren
-
Brody "BeaKie" Kelly
-
Cory "shutout" Frymark
-
Mark "CooperTrooper" Cooper (Coach)
ESL Challenger League Season 47 is set to start on February 13th.
