Official: NRG is back with an NA Roster!
Tonight NRG have announced their new Counter-Strike 2 roster, marking their return to North America after four years. As first reported by Dust2.us, NRG's return to the North American scene sees the Los Angeles-based organization pick up a core based around recently cut Liquid members Josh "oSee" Ohm and Damian "daps" Steele alongside former Evil Geniuses player Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte. Alongside the trio, NRG have brought on board Jadan "HexT" Postma, formerly of EG, and Justin "FaNg" Coakley, who returns to action after nearly six months on Complexity's bench.
NRG's decision to return to the North American scene coincides with something of a "changing of the guard" in the NA scene, with Evil Geniuses set to exit Counter-Strike while Liquid is set to return to a North American core, per multiple reports by Dust2.us.
NRG's re-entry also marks daps return to playing after hanging up the mouse to become Liquid's coach back in June 2022. As such, all eyes will be on him as he looks to lead oSee, Brehze, HexT, and FaNg as they contend for a spot at the top of the North American scene.
NRG have returned to the NA scene with:
-
Josh "oSee" Ohm
-
Damian "daps" Steele
-
Vincent "Brehze" Cayonte
-
Jadan "HexT" Postma
-
Justin "FaNg" Coakley
Dust2.us understands that NRG look to get into action right away, with the team set to compete in online events before the winter player break. As such, NA fans should quickly be able to gain a first impression of the Canadian-majority roster and how they will fit into the NA CS2 landscape.
