It's a tough group for Complexity

What to expect from Complexity vs Astralis

Lights out and away we go, we're fragging in Copenhagen.

Tomorrow marks the inaugural matches of the BLAST Fall Final, and Complexity start off with a hometown hero first. With just one victory in either of the four-team groups claiming a playoff berth, a win against Astralis would mark a significant step towards playing in front of the Copenhagen crowd.

Was Sydney the start of something?

Complexity shocked the world at IEM Sydney last month, taking down G2, BetBoom, and Cloud9 en route to the grand finals, where they met and lost to the clear #1 in the world FaZe. Still, the NA squad's performance was head and shoulders above what analysts and fans expected coming into the event. Recently, though, the team has faced setbacks, losing to Spirit and MOUZ at the Thunderpick World Championship for an early exit from the online event. Back on LAN, can Complexity match their Sydney performance?

  • EliGE rolled up with a 1.25 rating at Sydney, he needs that same impact

  • JT clutched up in Sydney with impactful frags and calls, is that sustainable?

  • Shake off Thunderpick losses, focus on LAN environment

Astralis on the brink of changes

Astralis have been on decent form recently, defeating ENCE at CAC, but of course, this only comes after losing to Apeks and 9INE at Roobet Cup 2023 for a last place finish. All this is background noise to Astralis' incoming roster moves, obtaining Jakob "jabbi" Nygaard and Martin "stavn" Lund from Heroic. While the circumstances of that move are a whole can of worms, HLTV reported that "the two outgoing players should play out one final tournament with the team," meaning the Fall Final will likely be the last tournament for these five. Will it be a last dance or a final whimper?

  • Possible last dance, is that motivation for Astralis?

  • Playoffs in front of Danish crowd in Royal Arena

  • device and blameF dynamic duo have to be fully operational

Previous Matchups

Astralis 2-0'd Complexity to eliminate them back in the Fall Groups, but that was only EliGE's fourth game with the Complexity boys, so it's easy to see how there could be growing pains. Complexity actually got one over Astralis back in the Spring Final, but it was a 90-round series, so it really could have gone either way.

Likely Vetoes

  • Astralis ban Anubis

  • Complexity ban Mirage

  • Astralis choose Overpass

  • Complexity choose Vertigo

  • Ancient decider

You can watch Complexity take on Astralis tomorrow at 01:30PM.
