Icelandic team to compete in Fragicago

After Fragicago 2023 rapidly reached max capacity back on October 10th, an interesting team appeared on the docket for the 32-team event— Icelandic squad DUSTY. DUSTY are the latest European team to make the journey to compete in a Fragadelphia event, however they likely are the most interesting of the bunch.

Hailing for the country of Iceland, DUSTY are one the best teams from the nation of around 300,000. Despite having a population more than seven times smaller than that of Chicago proper, Iceland has a healthy Counter-Strike scene primarily based in the south around Reykjavík. The current DUSTY lineup recently competed in the Pelaajat.com Nordic Masters Fall 2023, which served as a qualifier for the BLAST Premier Fall European Showdown.

Despite being dispatched relatively easily by MOUZ and 460Isk (now Alliance), it was the most high-profile event an Icelandic team has been in for some time. Likewise, DUSTY has not been to a LAN event outside of their country this year, so Fragicago will hopefully be a great opportunity to get some reps in outside of their nation without lag.
